Vandals daubed this obscene graffiti on a popular Gwynedd cycle path.
Yobs have spray-painted visitor signs and scrawled crude pictures across a part of the Lôn Las Ogwen cycle track.
The cycle route runs on the trackbed of the former railway line from Porth Penrhyn to Tregarth.
Bangor councillor Nigel Pickavance, who snapped the shocking sight on Monday afternoon, said he was left ‘disappointed’ by the discovery.
Cllr Pickavance, who represents the Marchog ward of Gwynedd council , said: “The cycle path is heavily used by visitors in Bangor.
“It is really popular with tourists and locals alike, so it was extremely disappointing to see graffiti, especially the nature of it.
“I was walking along the path on Monday afternoon with my daughters and a lot of families use the route, so it was totally inappropriate for them to see such lewd images.
“They’ve spray-painted visitor signs which overlook the Afon Cegin and scrawled obscene gestures on the path itself.”
Cllr Pickavance said he has informed Gwynedd council about the incident but that the graffiti has still not been removed as of this morning.
He added: “It’s just a really mindless thing to do.
“The cycle path has been a really nice addition to the area and there are lots of people working hard to make Bangor a better place.
“Things like this set these efforts back and ruin it for the majority.”
Lon Las Ogwen is an 11 mile cycle route which offers views of the Snowdonia mountains and follows the valley of Afon Cegin.
According to a council report, 100,000 journeys are made on it every year.
Gwynedd council have been approached for comment.
