A large refuse fire broke out in Cardiff on Wednesday evening.
Crews were called to the incident in Callaghan Square at 6.11pm where firefighters reported a large amount of rubber panels and plastic caps were "well alight"
Large plumes of black smoke could be seen across the city and nearby residents in Adamsdown, Splott and Butetown are being advised to keep their windows and doors closed.
The fire service has confirmed the fire was started deliberately.
Crews are currently at the scene and at around 7.05pm, South Wales Fire and Rescue Service reported that the fire was under control.
The fire service said the incident was likely to be ongoing for approximately one hour but was under control.
They said the smoke is expected to clear soon.
Site will be reinspected
The fire service were expected to be returning to the site at around 9pm to reinspect the site.
No reported injuries
There were no reported injuries connected to the incident, South Wales Fire and Rescue Service have confirmed.
