People living near the house in Llwyndu Road where police found the body say they heard 'pleading' in the early hours of the morning
Neighbours living near a house where a young woman’s body was found in suspicious circumstances say they heard a row in the early hours of the morning.
One said he called the police after hearing “screeching” and “pleading” coming from the direction of the house in Penygroes where the body was discovered this morning.
The neighbour, who does not wish to be named, heard shouting at about 4am today.
North Wales Police did not comment on whether they attended the scene at 4am, but police officers discovered the body at the house in Llwyndu Road at about 10.45am.
The neighbour said: “It was about 3.55am and my window was open because it was hot. I heard screeching.
“I have heard people rowing before, not from there but in general. This sounded different and more serious.
“It was definitely more panicked.
“I could hear a woman pleading, saying ‘sorry, please don’t do this’ and ‘stop’.
“I could hear something hitting a wall at the same time. That went on for about two minutes, then silence.
“I phoned the police and, while I was on the phone with them, I heard sprinting outside. Someone had set off motion sensors on lights outside my window.
“I don’t know if the police came. I did hear cars about 20 minutes later but no sirens.”
Chief Inspector Mark Armstrong at Caernarfon Police Station only said that officers were called at about 10.45am to an address in Penygroes.
