A MAN has been taken to hospital after an early morning assault in Rhyl.
The attack on Sussex Street, Rhyl took place near the Jean Emporium store just after 3.30am on Friday morning.
The store was closed on Friday after North Wales Police crime scene investigators cordoned off the area. It re-opened at 3pm.
A spokesman for the company said via social media the incident was completely unrelated to the store.
A North Wales Police spokesman said: “We received reports of an assault in Sussex Street, Rhyl just after 3.30am this morning.
“A man was taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd.
“Scenes of crime officers have been in the area this morning and investigations are ongoing.”
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We were called shortly before 3.45am to reports of an assault on Sussex Street in Rhyl.
"An emergency ambulance attended the scene and a man was taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd.”
