A COURT has heard how a schoolgirl who grew up in Swansea was allegedly 'locked up' for four years at the home of her dad.
High Court judge Mr Justice Holman was told how Amina Al-Jeffery, who has dual British and Saudi Arabian nationality, was taken to Saudi Arabia by her family.
The court is hearing from lawyers for Miss Al-Jeffery, 21, who say they fear for her safety.
They have asked Mr Justice Holman to look at ways of helping Miss Al-Jeffery, who, they allege, may have been 'locked up' at times.
Representing Miss Al-Jeffery, Henry Setright QC said a solicitor had found it hard to take instructions and attempts had been made to allow Miss Al-Jeffery to instruct lawyers in Jeddah via British Consulate staff.

Miss Al-Jeffery's father, Mohammed Al-Jeffery, had objected to her returning to the UK, the court heard.
Mr Justice Holman said the issues raised were "important and difficult".
But he said he would have to consider his powers to make orders relating to an adult in a foreign country who had dual nationality.
The 'right thing', he said, might be to order that Miss Al-Jeffery was taken to the British Consulate, so Foreign Office staff could get involved.
A public hearing in the Family Division of the High Court in London is considering the case. It is expected to end tomorrow.
