SUMMER is a time for throwing those windows open wide and letting in the fresh air.
Unfortunately, it can also mean letting in something rather less pleasant - burglars.
Insecure windows and doors are one of the primary ways burglars get into properties.
In the summer months people often go out, forgetting they have left a window or door open.

There is no suggestion burglars will be back in these streets.
But it is a reminder to people living there, and every resident across the city, to protect their homes, especially when the weather is warm and they are more likely to open windows.
