Fire crews in Wales start the summer holidays with a busy week tackling more than 56 deleberate blazes

Fire officials have been called to more than 100 fires this week, including a bus that was ablaze in Cardiff

The incidents included refuse, vehicle, kitchen and caravan fires in South Wales

Fire crews in South Wales have tackled more than 100 fires this week alone.
The fires included both deliberate and accidental blazes, which have hit refuse, vehicles, kitchens and caravans.
According to Jennie Griffiths from South Wales Fire and Rescue Service , they have attended more than 135 fires since last Saturday, with 93 of those deliberately started.
She also said of that 135, 56 were deliberately lit refuse fires, 26 were vehicle fires, 16 kitchen fires and three involved caravans.
It was another busy night on Friday when crews when crews firefighters were called out to blazes in areas including Tredegar, Tonypandy, Mountain Ash, Maesteg, Roath and Canton.
The fires also included an incident in Barry on Saturday morning when the service received 17 emergency calls after large pine trees were set alight at Ffordd Y Mileniwm on The Waterfront.
The fire was deliberately started, and crews from Barry attended the scene at 6.57am to the fire that was "well alight". No injuries were reported.
