A fire which "severely damaged" a house in Merthyr Tydfil was started deliberately, a fire officer has said.
South Wales Fire and Rescue Service received a 999 call about a house in Abercanaid on Saturday afternoon.
Crews from Merthyr Tydfil, Treharris and Hirwaun fought the blaze for two hours.
The fire severely damaged the first floor and attic as well as adjoining sheds. Police also attended the scene.
