A MAN from Carmarthen has been charged with attempted murder.
The 21-year-old will stand trial this morning following an incident that occurred in a property on Morgan Street, Carmarthen, on Monday, June 27.
The 47-year-old male victim remains in a critical condition.
The hearing will take place in Llanelli Magistrates' Court.
On Monday, a spokeswoman for Dyfed Powys Police said the force was "investigating a serious assault that occurred in a property in Morgan Street, Carmarthen".
"Police were called to the address at approximately 11.20pm on Monday June 27. The 47-year-old male victim was conveyed to Glangwili hospital with serious injuries, and is in a critical condition."
"Police are appealing for any witnesses, or anyone with any information to contact them by calling 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously by calling 0800 555111."
