A man has been charged in connection with the alleged murder of Lynford Brewster

Jake Whelan, from Kidderminster, is due to appear in court on Thursday charged with the murder of Lynford Brewster

Police have charged a 23-year-old man with the murder of a man from Cardiff .

Lynford Brewster, 29, died on Sunday, June 12, following an incident in Brynfedw, Llanedeyrn.

The 23-year-old man charged, Jake Whelan, from Kidderminster, is due to appear at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.

Two men have previously also been charged with Mr Brewster’s murder.

Dwayne Edgar, 29, from Llanedeyrn, and Robert Lainsbury, 22, from Kidderminster, are both remanded in custody until a further hearing at Cardiff Crown Court on September 5.

A spokesman for South Wales Police said: “Mr Brewster’s family have been updated regarding this recent development and continue to be supported by family liaison officers.”
