Police have been conducting house-to-house enquiries after a man was stabbed near a Rhyltakeaway last night.
Police were called at 9.19pm to the Ocean City takeaway on the corner of Wellington Road and Sandringham Avenue, after reports a man had been stabbed in the leg .
The injured man, who was described as “young” by the Welsh Ambulance Service, was taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd where his condition is described as non life-threatening.
The area was cordoned off last night as scene of crimes officers tried to establish the circumstances of the incident.
No arrests have been made.
Det Sgt Dave Mills of St Asaph CID said: “House-to-house enquiries in the immediate vicinity have been completed and we are in the area today making inquiries.
“We are keen to hear from anyone who was area from just before 9pm onwards and witnessed anything that they believe may assist us in our investigations to contact us at St Asaph CID.
“Similarly, we would like to hear from anyone who has any information to call us on 101 quoting reference number U015941 or via our live web chat facility.”
A spokesman for the Welsh Ambulance Service said they had received a call from North Wales Police at 9.21pm and a man had been taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd with non life-threatening injuries.
