A 72-year-old man has been branded a "remorseless and dangerous sexual predator" and given an extended 21 year sentence for public protection for raping and indecently assaulting a young boy over a four year period.
Ronald Preddy abused the boy at a number of locations in Neath and in Swansea docks, threatening to cut his throat if he told his family what was happening.

The offences took place in the 1990s but only recently came to light.
Swansea Crown Court was told his victim is "still struggling to come to terms" with the years of abuse Preddy subjected him to.
As well as the historic offences, Preddy - formerly of Martyn's Avenue, Seven Sisters, but now of Dunraven Street in Glyncorrwg - also fell to be sentenced for inciting another young boy to engage in sexual activity in 2014. He was linked to this offence by DNA found on the boy's clothes.
The court was told that in 2004 Preddy had been sentenced to eight years in jail for raping and indecently assaulting a third young boy.
Throughout the three separate trials, former colliery nightwatchman Preddy has always denied committing the acts but has been found guilty on each occasion following a trial.
Judge Huw Davies QC told him: "The truth is, over a period of the last 25 years or so you have been a sexual predator."
The judge said that while age may have weaken him, Preddy still had "perverted sexual drives" and was a "remorseless sexual predator" who had never shown any remorse for what he had done.
He sentenced Preddy to an extended sentence of 21 years, some 18 of which will be in custody.
