Here are some of the offenders who have found themselves locked up for crimes in Wales this week:
Remus Hamza
The rapist was jailed this week for 12 years after preying on a heavily intoxicated woman while she walked home from a night out.
Remus Hamza, 40, was found guilty by a jury of raping a 20-year-old woman in Cardiff city centre on September 20.

Jason Aplin and Lewis Holloway
The pair were jailed after they threw wheelie bins at a house window in Ebbw Vale on Christmas Day before attacking the occupant inside with a piece of wood.
Holloway, of Marine Street, Ebbw Vale, was sentenced to six years and eight months imprisonment while Aplin, also of Marine Street, Ebbw Vale, was sentenced to six years imprisonment.
Tyroan Gordon
The teenager used a broken bottle to attack his boyfriend in bed after threatening to kill him as he slept and was jailed for four years.
He pleaded guilty to a charge of wounding with intent and admitting smashing the windscreen of his victim’s car.

Neil Bagnall and Levi Griffiths
The pair were jailed for threatening a woman with a knife and baseball bat during a house burglary.
Neil Bagnall, 30, was jailed for 16 months and co-defendant Levi Griffiths, 18, received 12 months youth custody, after they were convicted of burglary at an earlier hearing.
Lee James Bromilow
Described in court as a “heartless” man, Bromilow was jailed for throwing his girlfriend into the road “like a rag doll”.
His partner needed surgery on her smashed kneecap after the early morning attack atOakenholt near Flint.

Danny Burrows
Burrows as jailed for a total of two years for attempting to rob an elderly lady in the street in Mold and also for a burglary on a family home in the town.
