Swansea,South Wales - Couple with 210 previous offences back in court

Bryce Davies and Sandra Doyle pleaded guilty to theft at Swansea Magistrates Court
A COUPLE with convictions for 210 previous offences between them have appeared in court once more after stealing more than £600-worth of perfume from a shop.
Swansea Magistrates' Court heard that Bryce Davies and Sandra Doyle were in the Debenhams shop in the city's Quadrant Shopping Centre "for only a minute" — but during that time stole a dozen bottles of fragrances before walking out.
The pair were identified by shop staff from CCTV footage and the police were called — they were arrested at their home on Griffith John Street, Dyfatty, Swansea, the following day.
Davies and Doyle — both aged 31 — both pleaded guilty to stealing £624-wroth of perfume on January 16 when they appeared before justices.
The court heard Davies has 43 convictions for 137 offences, and Doyle has 33 convictions for 73 offences.
The pair were each sentenced to a 12 month community order with a rehabilitation requirement, and were fined £50. They must each also pay £312 compensation to Debenhams, and pay a £60 surcharge and £40 in costs.
The Debenhams theft also put Doyle in breach of a 12 month conditional discharge which had been imposed by justices on October 28 for stealing toiletries and make-up from the Boots shop in the Uplands area of Swansea — the bench revoked the conditional discharge and re-sentenced the defendant to a community order to run concurrently with the new order.
