When door staff moved him on just after midnight on Tuesday the 33-year-old began threatening to shoot them, and then began shouting at customers waiting to go into the club.
Julie Sullivan, prosecuting, said the defendant then walked off down St Helen's Road, where he was arrested by police a short time later.
The prosecutor said that Leyshon told police that if he saw them off-duty he "wouldn't know whether to head butt or hug them" and then told them he was going to put a gun to their heads and shoot them. The court heard he was carrying no weapon.
Later the defendant repeatedly banged his head against his cell walls while shouting abuse to custody staff.
The court heard Leyshon has more than £1,000 in outstanding fines from previous offences.
Leyshon pleaded guilty to breaching the peace and was bound over in the sum of £50 for a period of six months to keep Her Majesty's peace and be of good behaviour.
