POLICE are investigating a serious spate of vandalism outside student accommodation.
At least four cars were targeted during the incident on Crispin Lane, Wrexham, in which all of their windows were broken or smashed completely.
The attack is believed to have happened overnight between Wednesday and yesterday.
The cars belong to students who live in the Wrexham Village accommodation block belonging to Glyndwr University.
One of the those whose car was targeted, Owen Prigent, 23, is a French student spending the year at Glyndwr.
“I only realised when I came out this morning, but this is not the first time this has happened on this road,” he said.
“It’s particularly annoying for me because I do not come from here and do not know how the insurance will deal with this. I do not know what to do next.”
Owen added that he and the other students were going to ask the university about alternative parking arrangements they could provide to help make their cars more secure.

A Glyndwr University spokesman said: “We will work with Wrexham Village and North Wales Police to investigate the incident and offer support to the students affected.”
The spokesman said it was understood the students’ guild had approached Wrexham Council and the local councillor about increasing the level of street lighting on Crispin Lane.
Julie Jones, a staff member at Wrexham Village, said she and her colleagues were working closely with the students affected to help them deal with the incident.
She said: “We are at a loss. There was a similar attack last week on this road. It’s just awful and heartbreaking for the students whose cars were damaged.
“Breaking every single window is just mindless vandalism.
“We always advise the students not to park on Crispin Lane if they can help it and we will be putting a notice up telling people not to park there.
“At the moment we’re just advising the victims to get on to the police and the insurance companies as soon as possible.”
A spokesman for North Wales Police said: “We received calls that a number of cars had their windows smashed and some had their glove compartments searched, but it is not clear if anything was stolen.
“The damage was done overnight and we had the first call at 2.20am.”
Police are now appealing for anybody who saw anything suspicious in the Crispin Lane area after 2am yesterday to call them on 101 quoting reference number U020322.
