An appeal for witnesses is being made after a stone was thrown towards a moving vehicle on the A55.
Shortly after 11am yesterday (Thursday, February 25) police received a report that a BMW car had been damaged whilst travelling on the westbound carriageway of the A55 between Old Colwyn and Mochdre.
The stone was thrown from a footbridge which crosses the A55 prior to the turn-off for Rhos-on-Sea and it damaged the light on the vehicle. Officers immediately attended and a search of the area was carried out.
Sergeant Rebecca Siviter said: “There was potential for serious injury here so we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed anybody throwing stones onto the A55 to contact us.”
Anybody with information is asked to contact officers at Colwyn Bay Police Station on 101 quoting reference number U027420
