Rhos on Sea,Llandudno,North Wales - Thefts from vehicles and sheds in Penrhyn Bay and Rhos on Sea

Police have stepped up patrols in the Rhos on Sea and Penrhyn Bay areas following a number of thefts from vehicles and sheds.
Power tools, mainly drills, have been taken from vehicles in the area.
Last night (Sunday, January 31) a chain saw was taken from a vehicle parked in the vicinity of Oliver Jones Drive.  
Over the course if the weekend, four vehicles that were all parked within the vicinity of Llandudno Road, Penrhyn Bay, were targeted.
In two of the cases the offender or offenders smashed a window and tools were stolen from inside.
PC Julie Niven said: “We are calling on local residents to be vigilant and to report anything suspicious they may see to us immediately.  
“A number of drills, including Bosch and Makita makes, have been stolen along with other power tools during the incidents which happened between Friday, January 29th and Saturday morning, January 30th.  
“Patrols have increased in the area and inquiries are continuing in relation to all the incidents, which include house to house inquiries. 
“We are currently keeping an open mind as to whether the incidents are linked. We are keen to hear from anyone who has information relating to cars being damaged in the area or thefts from sheds to please get in touch with us.
“Last week two bikes were taken from a shed and a Stihl leaf blower and hedge trimmer taken from another in the Rhos-On-Sea area.”
Police are appealing to anyone with information relating to the incidents or who may have been offered similar power tools for sale to contact PC Niven or her colleagues on 101 quoting reference number  RC16014625 or alternatively via the live web chat facility.
