A man who suffered a stab wound this afternoon has been airlifted to Stoke

A man stabbed in broad daylight on a street has been airlifted to hospital in Stoke with serious chest injuries.
The incident took place on Lon Ceiriog in Prestatyn, according to an eyewitness, before the victim made his way to his home on nearby Lon Brynli.
Police arrived at the scene at about 1.45pm today, and armed police were reported to be patrolling the area.
The eyewitness said another property on Lon Brynli was raided by North Wales Police and officers made a search of the building.
“The estate was cordoned off and there were quite a few armed police,” said the eyewitness, who wished to remain anonymous.
“As far as we know, they have not got the person who did it yet. People say he ran off and the police are still outside the house of the man who was stabbed.”
The victim and his partner are believed to have moved to the area recently.
A large crowd gathered to watch the police operation and eyewitnesses said more than five police cars were on the scene, as well as an emergency ambulance and the Wales Air Ambulance helicopter.
A spokesman for the Welsh Ambulance Service confirmed the man was taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd in Bodelwyddan with “serious injuries” after sustaining a stab wound to the chest, before being airlifted to University Hospital of North Staffordshire in Stoke at 4.10pm.
Three police vehicles were still at the scene into the evening and there was a police presence outside the property on Lon Brynli.
A North Wales Police spokesman said officers are still trying to establish the circumstances of the incident.
Detective Sergeant Chris Bell said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have been in the Lon Ceiriog or Lon Brynli areas of the town at around 1.45pm and who may have witnessed an incident which left a man needing hospital treatment for serious injuries to contact us.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact DS Bell at St Asaph CID on 101, quoting reference U001672.
