North Wales - Arrest made after man was stabbed in Connah's Quay

A MAN was stabbed in an incident in Connah’s Quay. 
 
The victim, a man in his 50s, was attacked with a knife in the middle of the day near Pen y Llan Street at about 12.50pm on Thursday. 
 
A 65-year-old man was arrested following the stabbing, but has since been bailed pending further enquiries, a police spokesman said. 
 
He added: “We were called at 12.50pm on Thursday to Pen y Llan Street after a man in his 50s was assaulted with a knife.
 
“A 65-year-old man was arrested for wounding after the altercation and has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.” 
 
An ambulance spokesman said the man’s injuries were not thought to be life-threatening. 
 
He added: “We sent a paramedic in a rapid response car and an emergency ambulance to the scene, and a man was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital.”
