A teenager from Wrexham has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder.
It follows a night-time incident in Castlefields near Oswestry on Saturday January 23 which saw a man sustain serious stab wounds in Castlefields.
West Mercia Police have said that a 19-year-old man from Coedpoeth was apprehended by detectives on January 27 in connection with the incident.
Yesterday Luke Cross, aged 22, of Mount View, Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands was charged with one count of conspiracy to commit murder, one count of threats to kill and one count of threatening to cause criminal damage.
Cross appeared at Shrewsbury Magistrates’ Court yesterday and was further remanded to appear at Shrewsbury Crown Court on Monday February 1 2016.
The 19-year-old from Coedpeth remains in police custody and has not been charged.
Investigating officer, Detective Inspector Mark Jones of West Mercia Police said: “We are again appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time or who feels that they have any information relevant to this investigation to come forward.”
