Police are investigating seven burglaries over the weekend
POLICE are appealing for information after a spate of burglaries across Swansea and Neath Port over the weekend. Officers believe the seven burglaries are linked and they are urging anyone with information to come forward.
The break-ins were reported in Pontardawe, Alltwen, Mayals, Penllergaer, Morriston and Neath Abbey and happened at various times from Saturday night through to Sunday night with intruders gaining entry through rear doors or windows and taking jewellery and cash boxes.

Police are appealing for anyone with information about the burglaries - or who is offered similar property for sale - to come forward.
South Wales Police detective inspector Dave Peart of Neath CID said: "We are appealing for reports of any sightings of suspicious vehicles or individuals in communities.
"We are investigating potential links to cold caller incidents at addresses where offenders will pretend to be selling services such as window cleaning or gutter repairs or be responding to fictitious online adverts.
"Householders should always verify callers and if they believe them to be suspicious in any way then I would urge them to contact police immediately, taking note of descriptions and details of any vehicles being used."
He added "We have locked up a number of burglary suspects recently but we really need the assistance of the public to come forward and report any suspicious incidents to us."
Officers have been carrying out house-to-house and CCTV enquiries around the areas where the burglaries have occurred
