Two people are in hospital after a car crashed into parked cars in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The driver and passenger of a Vauxhall Astra suffered serious injuries after the crash which happened on the A4064 in Pontycymmer, Bridgend , at around 3am.
South Wales Police said the red Vauxhall Astra collided with parked cars near Chapel House.
The two people were taken to the Princess of Wales Hospital in Bridgend where they are receiving treatment.
The carriageway was closed for around four hours while police carried out their initial investigations.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to call them at their roads policing unit in Gwaelod y Garth, Cardiff, on 02920 633438 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
They said they would like to speak to anyone who saw the collision or the driving of the vehicle before the collision and who have not yet given their details.
