Police investigate five burglaries and two attempted burglaries in Carmarthenshire town in one day

FIVE burglaries and two attempted burglaries have taken place in just four and a half hours in the same area of a Carmarthenshire town.
Dyfed-Powys Police is investigating the spate of burglaries to have hit the town of St Clears, yesterday.
The incidents took place at five businesses in the Cross Roads area, between 1am and 5.30am on Wednesday morning.
Money, cigarettes, tools, and a bottle of champagne were stolen.
Detective Inspector Jayne Butler said: "Police officers are following all lines of enquiry to find those who committed these offences.

"Extra police patrols are being carried out in the area and crime prevention advice has been offered to the owners of the premises affected.
