Arsonists struck twice within 25 minutes during the early hours of this morning.
According to fire chiefs two cars were deliberately targeted - one on High Street Connah’s Quay and the second on Park Avenue, Flint.
A fire service spokeswoman said: “We were called to a car fire at Park Avenue, Flint, at 1.21am.
“One appliance from Flint attended.
“We were called to the second car fire on High Street, Connah’s Quay, at 1.45am.
“One appliance from Deeside attended. Both the fires were a result of deliberate ignition.”
The two sites are around 10 minutes apart by car.
The latest incidents come on top of a long-running series of car fires centred mainly around Wrexham .
One man accused starting seven car fires in the Hightown area is due to stand trial this month.
In particular Caia Park has been badly hit by arsonists attacking cars .
In December four vehicles were torched at specialist vehicle workshop BD Performance, on Wrexham Industrial Estate .
Paul Scott, North Wales Fire and Rescue Service’s community safety manager for Flintshire and Wrexham said: “A car fire is very unpredictable.
"Each one will burn differently and there can be explosions – fuel, tyres, other pressurised vessels – next to homes and businesses.
“Flames can burn at 1,000 degrees, which is hot enough to melt alloys and pavements.
“Our firefighters are also being put at risk every time they attend one of these fires and of course the arsonists themselves.”
