Daniel Shepherd pleaded not guilty to manslaughter
THE man accused of killing former rugby player Jonny Thomas in a late night incident in Swansea city centre has pleaded not guilty to manslaughter.
Daniel Jason Shepherd, of Drummau Road in Skewen, entered the plea during a short hearing at Swansea Crown Court this morning.
A trial date was set for April 16 and the 23-year-old was released on bail to an address outside the Swansea and Neath Port Talbot area.
Thirty-four year-old Mr Thomas - affectionately known as Spud - died after an incident on Princess Way in the early hours of November 1.
