A woman's body has been found in a Rhyl flat, sparking a police investigation.
The grim discovery was made by ambulance crews in John Street just after 3pm today.
Police say they are currently treating the woman’s death as unexplained.
Eyewitnesses described the drama as paramedics arrived and were shortly followed by forensic teams.
One witness, who did not want to be named, said: “There was an ambulance and a doctor outside the flat at around 4pm.
“Then, a little while later, two police cars turned up and two police officers were stood outside. Then forensic teams arrived.”
Earlier this week, we reported the death of a 46-year-old on Kings Avenue in Rhyl.
Police were initially treating the death as unexplained but a post mortem later revealed it was due to natural causes.
On January 8, 47-year-old Wayne Grainger’s sudden death in Bath Street was also initially investigated by police, until a post mortem also revealed he died of natural causes.
Meanwhile, police continue to investigate the murder of Liam Hill, whose body was discovered at his flat in West Parade on January 8.
A North Wales Police spokeswoman said: “At 3.05pm today, North Wales Police were alerted by the ambulance service to the death of a woman who was found at a property on John Street.
“The death is currently being treated as unexplained.”
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called at just before 3pm today to an incident in John Street.
“We attended with a community first responder, rapid response vehicle and emergency ambulance.”
