A pensioner was robbed at knifepoint after three men pounced on him on the driveway of his home.
The 69-year-old victim was getting out of his car, in Merthyr Tydfil , when he was attacked.
Three men wearing dark clothes and balaclavas approached him on Swansea Road at around 11.15pm on Thursday, January 14.
One of the offenders threatened him with a knife and demanded money from his home.
Detective Inspector Paul Mahoney explains: “Thankfully no injuries were sustained to the victim. However, the incident had the potential for serious injury.”
The robbers left with cash, mobile phones and the victim’s car – a grey Mitsubishi L200 - after the attack on Swansea Road, Merthyr.
DI Mahoney continued: “We would like anyone with information that may assist the identification of these three offenders to get in touch with us.
“We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have seen a grey L200 Mitsubishi, registration CN59 ZFE, being driven along Swansea Road to Heolgerrig between 9.30pm and 11.30pm on Thursday 14th January.”
