A MAN intoxicated on alcohol and drugs "ran laps" around a family's house banging on the doors and windows before scuffling with police and ending up in a hedge.
Thomas Joseph Healion said he was lost when terrorised the family at their detached house in Gorseinon the early hours of the morning.
The court heard Healion had been drinking in pubs in Gorseinon on the night in question before going to a friend's house and taking the drug GHB.
Julie Sullivan, prosecuting, told Swansea Magistrates Court that around 5.30am on December 13 Healion disturbed a couple and their young children by running around the property banging on the doors and windows.
The prosecutor said the one of the victims described the 31-year-old as "doing laps around the house" and shouting at the husband who had gone to the front door to confront him.
Healion then left the scene but was found half an hour later by police on Llannant Road in Penyrheol.
The court heard the defendant became "extremely agitated" when officers approached — and then started swearing, telling them he would "have them".
Ms Sullivan said the police took hold of Healion and "all concerned ended up against a hedgerow, with the defendant thrashing his arms around in an attempt to get away".
When he was arrested and searched, officer found a quantity of GHB.
Healion, of Howard's Way, Gorseinon, had previously pleaded guilty to possessing the Class B drug, obstructing a police officer and a public order offence when he appeared before justices for sentencing.
The delivery driver was sentenced to a total of 12 weeks in prison suspended for 12 months.
