A man has appeared at Newport Magistrates Court charged with the murder of Georgina Symonds

A man has appeared in court charged with murdering a 25-year-old beautician whose body was found at an address in Usk on Wednesday.

Peter Morgan, 53, is accused of killing mother-of-one Georgina Symonds, from Newport .

At the brief hearing at Newport Magistrates Court Morgan, who wore a grey jumper, spoke only to confirm his name and address. He is yet to enter a plea.

Morgan, of Abergavenny , is due to appear at Newport Crown Court on Monday morning
