POLICE are urging members of the public to be on the look out for three racoons, feared stolen from a trampolining centre.
Dyfed-Powys Police is investigating the suspected theft of the racoons from Funsters, a tourist attraction in Hendy, near Llanelli.
A spokeswoman for the police force said: "Police are investigating the theft of racoons from the Hendy area.
"They were in an enclosure behind a business property.
"The theft is believed to have taken place sometime between Saturday, January 2, and the afternoon of Sunday, January 3."
Kath Evans, a friend of the owner of Funsters, had been given the responsibility to look after the racoons, and was the person who realised they were missing.
She said: "I was devastated.
"They were there one day when I fed them, but when I came down the following day they were gone, and someone had left the two gates open."
Racoons, known for their bandit mask facial markings and propensity for eating anything, were brought to Funsters alongside other animals as a planned attraction, but that was never opened to the public, she added.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of the racoons should contact Llwynhendy Police on 101.
