A MAN shot two people in the face, and caused another to suffer a dislocated shoulder after bursting into an Ammanford flat armed with a knife and gun.
Shane Orzechowski had gone to the property in Heol Cae Gurwen in the early hours of September 27, and threatened the three people inside.
Swansea Crown Court was told he pointed the ball bearing gun at the head of one, but when one of his victims attempted to disarm him, he fell backwards and dislocated his shoulder.
Kevin Jones, prosecuting, added: "He then shot [his second victim] to the face, from a distance of about six inches. He fell to the floor, saying 'My eye'."

He then shot a female victim in the face from a distance of around two feet, before leaving the property and running away. From that distance, it was highly unlikely he would miss," added Mr Jones.
His victim who dislocated his shoulder was taken to hospital.
Orzechowski, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to attempted burglary, possession of a knife and imitation firearm, and three counts of actual bodily harm. Mitigating, Robert Chudleigh said the 21-year-old had co-operated with police and undergone a psychiatric assessment.
He added: "He is still a young man, who had a difficult childhood. He was locked in the care system from a young age and had no role model when he was brought up. He has shown remorse for this troublesome incident."
Concluding, judge Keith Thomas said: "This is a very disturbing offence; not just for those involved, but the public at large to know someone like yourself is walking around with weapons of this nature, in order to commit offences."
Orzechowski was sentenced to 80 months imprisonment, with a further four months for breaching a suspended sentence.
