Sentencing in the case of a Rhyl man charged with stabbing his partner has been put back to the New Year.
Leonard Evans, aged 53, of St Asaph Street, Rhyl, is charged with wounding Carol Evans with intent to cause her GBH on November 9.
He pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing and was due to be sentenced on Wednesday (December 16).
But Judge David Hale, sitting at Mold Crown Court, adjourned the case until next month for the prosecution to obtain up-to-date medical evidence on the victim.
She had suffered among other injuries a 5 cm deep laceration wound to the right chest wall.
But the judge said there was no information about how that serious stab wound had been treated, or its effect.
Simon Killeen, defending, said that his client was currently undergoing tests for a potentially serious condition.
Evans was remanded in custody.
