A hunt has been launched to find the driver of a Ford Transit van police believe was involved in a hit and run which left a man with serious life changing injuries near Broughton.
A fresh appeal was launched by North Wales Police to trace the van following the collision on the A5104 shortly after 9pm on Sunday December 6 this year.
The pedestrian, in his 50s was rushed to the Countess of Chester Hospital by ambulance after being struck near the first layby when leaving Broughton heading towards Penymynydd,Flintshire.
The driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian failed to stop.
Sergeant Jane Thomas from the Roads Policing Unit said: “Just after 9pm on Sunday 6th December North Wales Police and other emergency services responded to the scene of a road traffic collision on the A5104 Broughton.
“The collision involved a male pedestrian who suffered serious life changing injuries and a vehicle now believed to be a Ford Transit van.”
Police said an investigation is continuing and the officers would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time, who may have witnessed the collision or is able to give information in relation to the Ford Transit vehicle to contact the Roads Policing Unit atDeeside on 101 or via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
