Police are investigating the assault in Brynmill, Swansea, at just after midnight
A man has been left fighting for his life after being seriously injured in a Boxing Day stabbing.
The 24-year-old victim was rushed to Morriston Hospital, Swansea , for emergency surgery after suffering injuries to his abdomen in the assault.
It is understood his attacker used a knife, though it is unknown what kind.
It happened in St Helen’s Avenue, in Brynmill, Swansea, at 12.15am on Saturday.
A police spokesman said a 22-year-old local man has been arrested and is in custody as a result of the “late night disturbance.”
