Mountain rescue volunteers gave up their Christmas morning after being called to help a walker injured on Snowdon.
Volunteer members of the Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team (MRT) were called out at about 7am to come to the aid of the walker, who had suffered a broken leg and dislocated ankle.
The MRT said the volunteers then stretchered the casualty to a point where it was possible for a Maritime and Coastguard Agency helicopter to use their winch.
A total of 15 volunteers took part in the operation.
In August this year the Llanberis MRT marked its busiest month on record, attending 34 callouts on Snowdon and in the surrounding area.
