British Transport Police want to speak to a woman in connection with the assault in October

A new CCTV image has been released of a woman police want to speak to in connection with an attack on a female train guard.
The rail worker was assaulted on board a train approaching Prestatyn station at around 9.40pm on Friday, October 16.
British Transport Police say that, following “extensive enquiries”, officers have managed to secure a new image of the woman they are trying to trace, which has been released for the first time today.
They are appealing for witnesses or anybody with information to come forward.
Investigating officer PC Harry Thompson said: “While conducting routine ticket checks, the train manager on board the 7.10pm Euston to Holyhead service challenged a female passenger over the legitimacy of her ticket.
“The woman immediately became argumentative and stood up and grabbed the victim around her chest, before trying to take her name badge.
“Fearing for her safety, she managed to free herself and moved away from the woman.
“Fortunately, the victim did not sustain any physical injuries as a result of this attack.
“However, this was a very distressing incident which left her shaken and in a state of shock. Nobody should have to experience such aggression simply for doing their job.
“I would now like to appeal to anyone who recognises the woman in this new image to please contact us, as I believe she may have key information which could greatly assist our investigation.
“We believe she got off the train at Prestatyn at around 9.45pm before leaving the station with a man.”
Anyone with information is asked to call 0800 40 50 40 or text 61016, quoting reference WSUB/B6 of 22/12/2015.
Alternatively, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
