FIVE people charged in connection with an arson attack on caravans are to stand trial at Mold Crown Court.
The five, all from Coventry, are alleged to have committed the offence at Towyn on November 28 when five caravans were damaged.
They included the owner of one of the vans, Lorraine Thwaite, aged 61, of Ashburton Road, Coventry, who, along with Larry George Clack, aged 62, of the same address, also faces a charge of fraud over a £19,500 insurance claim. They both denied the two charges.
The other defendants who appeared at Prestatyn magistrates’ court did not enter pleas to the arson charges.
They were Liam David Bishop, aged 19, and Daniel Monger, aged 31, both of of Meadway North, and David Woodings, aged 38, of Hartland Avenue, all in Coventry.
The Bench declined jurisdiction and all five were bailed to appear at Mold Crown Court on January 8.
