Mountain rescue volunteers in Snowdonia gave up their Christmas morning after being called to help a walker injured on Mount Snowdon .
Volunteer members of the Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team (MRT) were called out at about 7am to come to the aid of the walker, who had suffered a broken leg and dislocated ankle.
The MRT said the volunteers then stretchered the casualty to a point where it was possible for a Maritime and Coastguard Agency helicopter to use their winch.
