Cardiff,South Wales - Third man charged in relation to alleged Cardiff freshers' week sex assaults

A 39-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of a sexual assault at a house in Cathays Terrace

A third man has been charged as part of investigations into a series of alleged sexual assaults during freshers’ week in Cardiff .
Officers from South Wales Police travelled to Manchester to arrest 39-year-old Tahir Nazir on suspicion of sexual assault at a house in Cathays Terrace on September 22 this year
The incident was the second of three alleged sexual assaults over a five-day period between September 20 and September 24.
Nazir has been charged with sexual touching without consent and trespassing with the intention of committing a sexual offence.
He has been remanded in custody and will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court via video link in January.

Two others charged

The other two men charged in connection to the three unconnected assaults are Khalid Alahmadi from Cardiff city centre and Remus Hamza from Riverside .
Alahmadi, 23, has been charged with attempted rape following an incident which allegedly occurred in the early hours of Thursday, September 24, in Gorsedd Gardens.
Meanwhile, 40-year-old Hamza has been charged with rape following an incident which allegedly took place in the early hours of Sunday, September 20, in the Cardiff Civic Centre area.
Both men are due to stand trial in February.
