The child, who cannot be named for legal reasons, punched one officer in the face while lashing out with her arms and legs
A girl aged 15 who got drunk launched an unprovoked attack on a woman and then assaulted three police officers during her arrest.
The teenager, who was celebrating her birthday, had never been in any trouble before but became violent the first time she got drunk, a youth court was told.
At Flintshire Magistrates ’ Court at Mold today the girl from the Mostyn area admitted three charges of assaulting police officers and a further assault on a woman as she parked her car near her home in Greenfield, Holywell in October of last year.
She was placed on an eight-month referral order and was ordered to pay £50 compensation to each of the three police officers, and £100 to the woman.
Prosecutor Diane Williams the female victim was the mother of a vulnerable man who suffered cerebral palsy and who had also had a stroke.
His mother picked him up from work that evening and when they returned she could not park because of a beer can in the road.
There was a group of half a dozen youths standing on the path nearby, with others further up the road, and the woman asked a youth if he could move it.
That youth merely stared at her and when she asked another youth he started to shout and swear.
The court heard the mother got of her car to move the can herself but was assaulted by the defendant who punched her.
As the woman tried to defend herself, the girl dug her nails into her arms and scratched her.
Members of the group were egging her on and her son tried to get out of the car to help his mother but was assaulted by a young man whose case had been sent to the crown court for sentence.
Police officers arrived and the girl ran away – and called an officer a weirdo when he grabbed her to detain her.
She punched him to the face and kicked him to the groin several times as a young man tried to free her from his grip.
The officer pressed the emergency button on his radio, assistance arrived, but she ended up assaulting two more officers during her arrest.
She punched one officer in the face and was lashing out with her arms and legs.
A special constable was kicked in the shin.
Serious Case
The girl kicked the police car window repeatedly, she said she was claustrophobic and tried to run off, and a larger vehicle was brought to the scene to take her to the police station.
Magistrates were told that the case had been considered too serious to be diverted away from court.
She was said to have made a serious mistake the first time she was in drink, had since changed her associates and it had been a shock for her family because it was so out of character.
The girl told magistrates that she had been celebrating her birthday, it was the first time she had a few drinks and did not know how much she had.
