A DRUNK man demanded police take him to Tesco in the early hours of the morning because he was hungry, a court has heard.
Jason John Richards told officers he would repeatedly call 999 until they took him to the supermarket.
Swansea Magistrates Court heard officers were called to Castle Square in the city centre at 2am on the February 4 following reports of an intoxicated man threatening to harm himself.

When they got there they found 46-year-old Richards near the McDonald's restaurant, and he began shouting at them "I need food — take me to Tescos".
Sharon Anderson, prosecuting, said due to his drunken state police told him they couldn't leave him alone in the city centre, and they drove him home — but he refused to go into his house and stood in the street demanding to be taken to Tesco and threatening to repeatedly call police until they took him for food.
He was subsequently arrested.
Richards, of Mount Pleasant, Swansea, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly — and to failing to answer bail when he missed a previous court appearance — when he appeared at court in custody.
The court heard he has previous convictions for 105 offences, and was last in court in January when he was fined for being drunk and disorderly.

Richards, who represented himself in the proceedings, told the court he had started attending Alcoholics Anonymous sessions to help with his drink problem.
District judge Neale Thomas asked the defendant: "If I let you out now, am I going to see you here again next week?"
The defendant replied "no sir", adding he needed to care for his ill father and "stop being so selfish".
Richards was fined £50 for each offence, and was ordered to pay £85 in costs and a £30 surcharge.
The district judge said he hoped Richards was intent on turning over a new leaf in his life, and warned him if he came back before the courts again he wouldn't be dealt with so leniently next time.
