Wrexham,North Wales - Robber threw brick at Wrexham takeaway worker before fleeing with cash

Krazy Pizza on Poyser Street and a nearby chip shop were targeted within minutes of each other

A brick was thrown at a takeaway worker by a man who then fled with cash from the shop.
Krazy Pizza on Poyser Street in Wrexham was hit at 10.52pm last night, just minutes before a man with a similar description tried to rob the Athena chip shop on Prince Charles Road.
The man fled empty-handed from Athena after the till fell to the floor, and he ran off down Ruabon Road.
Ryan Khandaka, owner of Krazy Pizza, said: “The guy threw a brick at me then tried to rob the till.
“There were four or five staff in the store as we were about to close and were cleaning the shop.
“They are shocked and shaken.”

DCI Simon Williams said: “We understand the business community and the wider public are increasingly concerned about the recent incidents of robbery in the area.
“We are keeping an open mind as to whether these two latest offences are linked to previous incidents.
“However, I would like to stress to the business community and to the public that we are investing considerable resources and specialist teams to arrest these offenders.
