Wrexham,North Wales - Police hunt driver who sexually assaulted woman in Wrexham after giving her a lift

The woman got into a silver Land Rover Discovery which she assumed was a taxi in the early hours of Sunday

A woman was sexually assaulted after getting into a car she thought was a taxi.
The woman in her 20s had been on a night out in Wrexham and was walking on Brook Street at 12.40am on Sunday, heading towards a taxi firm's offices.
She was not able to find a taxi, but a silver Land Rover Discovery pulled up next to her.
North Wales Police have footage of the car on the town centre street.
Wrexham rural inspector Steve Owens said: "The driver asked if she wanted a lift and the young woman assumed she was getting into a taxi.
"The male drove from town to Pentre Broughton (a journey of roughly three miles).
"When they arrived, he locked the doors and the woman asked how much she owed.
"The male said, ‘You can pay me in other ways’, and sexually assaulted her.
“When it was over, she got out of the car and ran away.
"We think if he has done this once, he might have done it before, but this is the only report we have had recently.
"We have CCTV of the vehicle in the town centre, but we are trying to establish whether anyone may know the driver of a silver Land Rover Discovery which was in Wrexham and Pentre Broughton in the early hours of Sunday.
"If anyone has information, please call us on 101, quoting reference RC17023612."
