An investigation has been launched after 15 lambs were snatched in Padeswood, while one escapee was found with its ears cut and tags removed
More than a dozen lambs have been stolen from a farm in Flintshire .
North Wales Police's rural crime team are investigating after 15 of the animals were taken from Padeswood over the weekend.
One of the Welsh mountain lambs managed to escape but had already had it's ears mutilated.
The thieves had sliced them to remove tags so it could not be traced.
In November last year it was revealed 100 sheep and cattle had been stolen from farms in Gwynedd, Conwy and Denbighshire by highly-organised criminal gangs.
More than 80 sheep and 13 Friesan calves have been taken from farms in Bala , Rhuallt Hill , Pandy Tudur near Llanrwst and at Padog in Betws-y-Coed .
The rural crime team have urged farmers to be vigilant and contact police if they see anything suspicious.
Anyone with information should call North Wales Police on 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
