Rhyl,North Wales - Caravans destroyed in Towyn suspected arson attack

Firefighters battled two static caravan blazes at Ty Mawr caravan park

Two caravans have been torched in a suspected arson attack.
Firefighters were called to Ty Mawr caravan park in Towyn just before 9.45pm yesterday.
Two static caravans were ablaze with two fire crews using two hose reel jets and a set of breathing apparatus to put out the flames.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said the cause is believed to be deliberate ignition, but officers will return to the park this morning to investigate the blaze further.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “We were called to an incident at Ty Mawr caravan park where two static caravans were on fire at 9.42pm.
“We sent one crew initially but a second crew was called in to assist with the incident.
“Crews used two hose reel jets and one set of breathing apparatus as well as lighting.”
“The cause is believed to be deliberate ignition at this stage, however we will return to the scene later this morning to carry out more tests.”
