Swansea Magistrates Court heard police found evidence of "extensive neglect" at the house in Port Talbot
THREE young children were found living in filthy conditions with excrement on the floor and walls, soiled bedding, used nappies lying around and overflowing bin bags, a court heard.
Police went to the property following concerns raised by neighbours about the youngsters' living conditions.

Swansea Magistrates Court heard the officers found evidence of "extensive neglect" at the Port Talbot property.
The children's mother – who cannot be named to protect the identity of the youngsters – pleaded guilty to three counts of ill-treating or neglecting a child when she appeared before justices.
Magistrates said the case was so serious their powers of sentencing were insufficient, and they committed the case to Swansea Crown Court.
Sharon Anderson, prosecuting, said people living near the family raised the alarm because of the "unkempt" appearance of the children and concerns they were not eating properly.
She showed the court a series of graphic photographs taken inside the property which showed excrement on the bathroom floor and walls, excrement in a pram in the hallway, used nappies lying around, overflowing bin bags in the kitchen, dirty and soiled bed sheets, piles of clothes and rubbish in different rooms and food mashed into the stairs.
The defendant sat emotionless in court throughout the short hearing
The court heard the family had been given "extensive help" by social services in the past.
Magistrates committed the case to Swansea Crown Court for sentencing on March 13.
