A SWANSEA man who plied vulnerable young women with alcohol before raping and sexually assaulting them has been sent down for 12 years.
Former shop manager Paul Neumann had denied the offences but was found guilty following a trial at Swansea Crown Court.
Officers from Morriston CID's specialist sexual offences unit have praised the courage of his three victims in coming forward, and in going through the difficult process of giving evidence in a trial.
The attacks took place between October and November 2015.
Neumann, aged 36, of Kilvey Terrace, St Thomas, Swansea, was sentenced to 12 years after being found guilty of one count of rape and two of sexual assault.
South Wales Police detective constable Julie McCumesky said the investigation which brought Neumann to justice had been "protracted and complex".
She said: "Despite their serious sexual assaults the victims had the strength and courage to support the police prosecution and gave evidence to the court of their harrowing and traumatic experience.
"The victims were supported throughout by specialist officers from Morriston CID, who continue to work tirelessly for victims of rape and target and pursue individuals who exploit the most vulnerable persons within our society."
