A 58-year-old man is fighting for his life after a 'domestic incident' near Merthyr Tydfil.
Officers were called to a house in Waunwyllt Court, Abercanaid, shortly before 4am this morning.
The man, from Galon Uchaf in Merthyr, was taken to hospital with 'life-threatening injuries' where he remains under arrest and in police custody.
In a separate event a body was found on a Pembrokeshire beach. Police are treating the incident as 'unexplained'.
