A man has been arrested after another cannabis farm was discovered in Flintshire during a police raid.Officers found 89 plants, with an estimated street value of about £90,000, after they swooped on Ffordd y Blaenau in Treuddyn yesterday.

Later in the day, a 32 year old local male was arrested in Coventry and brought back to North Wales for interview.
It was the second cannabis farm found in Flintshire in a month.

Last month 369 cannabis plants, with a street value of around £400,000, were discovered when police stormed a warehouse at Bromfield Industrial Estate on Stephen Gray Road, in Mold.

Referring to the latest discovery, PC John Harrison, from the Flintshire Priority Crime Team, said: “One male has been arrested but we are still appealing for witnesses who saw anything suspicious in the area of Ffordd y Blaenau in Treuddyn.

“This is the second cannabis farm that we have recently discovered in the Flintshire area and we will continue to actively deal with any intelligence regarding the cultivation of cannabis. “The male was arrested by our police colleagues from the West Midlands police motorway traffic unit and it’s a great example of working together.”
